Welcoming Rahul Sharma to NYC for the first time from India!
Rahul Sharma, disciples of Guru Kumar Sharma of Jaipur Gharana, is a familiar face in dance circles, not just in India, but across the globe. He has been a part of the Famous Kathak fusion group, Kathak Rockers, for the past 12 years, assisting one of the Indian TV industry’s famous name, Kumar Sharma, as a choreographer.
He has been Assistant Choreographer on the Indian reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 3, Dance Ka High Fever, India’s Dancing Superstar, as well as a performer on the popular shows Jhalak Dhikla Jaa, I Can Do That, and Top 6 in Chak Dhoom Dhoom team challenge.
He has performed on various prestigious stages like: Gudi Sambaralu Temple Festival, Bali Jatra Festival, Vishakha Utsav, ASIANET Film Awards, Canada Diwali Festival, and many more.
He has represented his art Kathak at National level and won many awards.
He has done two big projects so far in Bollywood industry. Assisted Vabhavi Merchant for “ Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani“ and Chinni Parkash for “Bhool Bhualiya 2.“
He has also worked as a Choreographer in “Ghunghroo.”
He has done own workshops in UK and Italy, and he has performed in various countries like South Africa, Kenya, Singapore, Oman, Qatar, UK, Canada, Italy, and many more.
Class will be held on Thursday Feb 19th, 8pm at Ripley Grier.
